Editing
Thoughtful, purposeful editing is what makes your finished film looked polished and more professional. The most frequent mistake students make is not taking out enough of their raw footage--editing out the mediocre or insignificant clips--and not creating enough cuts of angles to help with pacing; Editing is a skill best suited for those who are perfectionists because it takes a lot of time, and you need to be willing to watch your films over and over and over--and over--again to get it right.
